On 13 March 2025, industry leaders and policymakers convened at Edinburgh’s John McIntyre Conference Centre for Scotland’s premier industrial decarbonisation event. As trade body NECCUS’s flagship annual conference, DeCarbScotland continues to drive crucial dialogue on achieving net zero across Scotland’s heavy industries.
Building on our successful partnership since the conference’s inception in 2023, we delivered end-to-end event management including: Strategic branding and targeted marketing campaigns; Curated programming across plenary sessions, breakouts and networking forums; Execution of the conference’s gala dinner and NECCUS’s Young Professionals Award.
The 2025 conference featured prominent speakers such as:
Dr Bryony Livesay, former Director of UKRI’s Industrial Decarbonisation Challenge, who chaired the event.
Dr Alasdair Allan MSP, Acting Minister for Climate Change, who delivered an address and presented the NECCUS Young Professionals Award.
Alex Milward, Director of CCUS at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, who shared the latest UK policy developments.
With sponsorship from sector leaders including DNV, National Gas, Veolia, Scottish Enterprise, Crown Estate Scotland, the Acorn Project, and many more, the conference highlighted:
Emerging technologies in carbon capture and hydrogen.
Critical supply chain development needs.
Policy frameworks enabling Scotland’s just transition.
As Scotland’s industrial decarbonisation landscape matures, DeCarbScotland remains the platform for transforming ambition into action. We’re proud to contribute to these vital conversations through our event expertise.
