SOHTIS (Survivors of Human Trafficking in Scotland)

⬢ Website
SOHTIS (Survivors of Human Trafficking in Scotland) works to end human trafficking in Scotland. The charity prevents individuals from becoming victims, identifies and recovers those who have been exploited, and empowers survivors to rebuild their lives. Additionally, SOHTIS plays an important advocacy role, fighting for systemic changes to turn the tide on modern slavery.
TMD was entrusted with transforming this critical charity’s website, which we rebuilt using a new design concept by the talented Malarkie Design. Our team took this concept and meticulously updated SOHTIS’s branding in its entirety, creating a fresh look that immediately catches the eye. We then implemented the updated brand throughout the new site, refining and adding assets to ensure a cohesive and impactful user experience. The old website was identified as lacking crucial functionality – we introduced several new features, including a donations function, a blog section with filters, and an easily updatable events page.
The new website speaks to the gravity of SOHTIS's mission, featuring bold typefaces and refreshed imagery that underscore the seriousness of the issue at hand. We're incredibly proud of the work we've done to enhance the charity’s presence, and their impact has not gone unnoticed – SOHTIS has since received significant recognition at the 2024 Scottish Charity Awards. We're honoured to have played a part in supporting such an important cause.
